About Us

The Crisis We Face
No one tells us that retirement can be isolating and lonely. Or that staying sharp, safe and connected is much more challenging as we age. We built this community to connect and share with others just like us.

Our Mission
Aging Successfully exists to help adults over 60 live fuller, healthier, and more connected lives — through the wisdom of their peers, the support of a caring community, and the confidence that comes from never facing life’s challenges alone.

About Doug
Founder, Aging Successfully

How this started.

I’ve just turned 75. After decades of leading teams, solving complex problems, and building things that mattered, I thought I had retirement figured out.

I didn’t.

The isolation hit first. Not loneliness exactly — more like the slow evaporation of purpose, structure, and intellectual engagement that had defined my working life for 40 years. I was busy enough. I just wasn’t connected to anything that felt meaningful. And I noticed that no one had warned me that was coming.

I realized something that sounds simple but hit me hard: At 75, I want the same things any 45-year-old needs. Stimulation. Community. A reason to show up. Another road trip wasn’t going to provide that. Neither was another morning at Starbucks.

Then I started volunteering with Meals on Wheels.

I saw it in the eyes of the people I serve — that particular kind of sadness that comes from feeling invisible. From being disconnected from the world that’s still moving around you. From having no one who really understands where you are in life.

And I realized this wasn’t just their struggle. It was mine. It’s felt across the entire American senior population. And nobody was building the right solution for it.

So I did.

Aging Successfully is my passion project — a free community for every American over 60 who has a phone, a tablet, or a computer and deserves a place to find joy, connection, and purpose with people who truly understand them.

I spent my career in sales and marketing working with some of the most recognized brands in the world. I know how to build something people want to be part of. This is the most important thing I’ve ever built.

Come find your people.
